I have developed this seminar primarily for camp meetings and other convocations that last for several days. It includes five Monday through Friday presentations. The series is appropriate for night meetings, a week-day worship service (11:00 a.m. at most camp meetings), or as a morning or afternoon seminar. I can also add a session, making this a six-day, Sunday through Friday seminar (see the Friday night presentation "The Final Generation" in the week-end seminar "End-Time Perfection "). I can also adapt this seminar as a week-end series--Friday night, Sabbath morning, and Sabbath evening.

How to Be One of the 144,000

Ellen White said, "Let us strive with all the power that God has given us to be among the hundred and forty-four thousand" (Seventh-day Adventist Bible Commentary, 7:970). Who are these mysterious end-time people? How perfect will they be? And how can anyone be "good enough" to join them? These questions have created a good bit of fear in the minds of some Adventists. This presentation responds to these concerns.

Living Without a Mediator

For the better part of 150 years Adventists have taught that probation will close shortly before the second coming of Jesus, and God's people must live without a Mediator in the heavenly sanctuary during the time of trouble. This has been very frightening to some Adventists, who fear that they might not have overcome all their sins before probation closes. But just what does the close of probation imply? How sinless must we be? And what will it really mean to live without a Mediator?

Righteousness by Faith

Ellen White said that "the message of justification by faith . . . is the third angel's message in verity" (Selected Messages, 1:372). One of the primary reasons why this is true is that justification by faith (and the broader term righteousness by faith) is the primary way that God's people prepare for the close of probation. This presentation focuses especially on justification as a preparation for the end time.

Victory in Jesus--Part 1

Justification primarily involves our legal standing before God. Sanctification has to do with the development of our character. Preparation for the end time requires gaining the victory over sin and temptation. Many Adventists become very discouraged when they find themselves continually falling into sin and never seeming to gain the victory they desire. This presentation provides practical help in overcoming sin.

Victory in Jesus--Part 2

This presentation is a continuation of "Victory in Jesus--Part 1."
