End-Time Gospel Seminars

The focus of the Friday night and Sabbath morning presentations is end-time events. The focus on Sabbath afternoon is strictly righteousness by faith--both justification and sanctification. The Sabbath afternoon presentations provide practical suggestions for establishing a relationship with Jesus that will bring victory over sin.
With the exception of the Sabbath morning sermon, this seminar is designed for an Adventist audience, primarily because I quote extensively from Ellen White's writings in both the Friday night session and the two Sabbath afternoon sessions. Thus, I do not recommend advertising this seminar widely in the non-Adventist community. However, non-Adventists are occasionally present. When I know this to be the case, I take a moment at the beginning of the presentation to give a brief explanation of Ellen White's ministry as Seventh-day Adventists understand it. Then I continue as usual.

Friday night, 7:30 to 9:00
The title is "The Coming Great Calamity." This is a study of the judgments of God that will come upon the world just before the close of probation and continue to the second coming of Jesus. These judgments of God will initiate the final crisis. This presentation is based on my book The Coming Great Calamity.

Sabbath morning, 11:00
"Is Jesus Really Coming Soon?" is the title of the Sabbath morning sermon. Given the fact that it's been nearly 2,000 years since the apostles said Jesus was coming soon (eg.: Revelation 22:7, 20), and since it's been more than 150 years since our own Adventist pioneers said Jesus was coming soon, is it still realistic to believe that in our day He is indeed coming soon? In my Sabbath morning sermon I will present two reasons and three signs that persuade me that Jesus truly is coming soon in our day.

Sabbath afternoon

From 2:00 to 3:15--"Does Jesus Really Save Sinners?" The focus of this presentation is on justification, and I especially discuss the assurance of salvation that we have in Jesus during the process of overcoming our sins. This presentation is based on Section 1 of my book Conquering the Dragon Within.
From 3:30 to 5:30--"Does Jesus Really Give Victory?" The focus of this presentation is on sanctification. I will share with the people a number of practical steps for overcoming their cherished sins and addictions more easily, thus helping them to be better prepared for the final crisis and the second coming of Jesus. This presentation is based on Sections 2 and 3 of my book Conquering the Dragon Within.
