I have developed this seminar primarily for camp meetings and other convocations that last for several days. It includes five Monday through Friday presentations. The series is most appropriate as a morning or afternoon seminar. I do not recommend it for the week-day worship service (at 11:00 a.m. in most camp meetings) or for the evening program.
The Coming Great Calamity--Part 1
This presentation focuses on the judgments of God--natural disasters and war--that the Bible and Spirit of Prophecy predict will initiate the final crisis and continue till the second coming of Christ.
The Coming Great Calamity--Part 2
The second presentation in this series focuses on the impact that the judgments of God will have on the belief systems of the human race and the potential this holds for God's people in completing the gospel commission to preach the gospel to the whole world.
Apparitions of the Virgin Mary
Conservative Catholics and some Protestants are being strongly influenced by so-called apparitions of the Virgin Mary. This presentation will show how this phenomenon can become a major avenue for the development of end-time spiritualism.
Sunday Laws--Part 1
For 150 years Adventists have predicted that the primary issue in the final conflict will be the law of God, especially the fourth commandment. The key issue will be the seventh-day Sabbath versus Sunday. This presentation provides the biblical and Spirit of prophecy basis for this conclusion.
Sunday laws--Part 2
But could it really happen? A number of states passed and strictly enforced Sunday laws (called "Blue laws") in the late 1800s, and there was a move in the United States Congress to pass a national Sunday law. But many states repealed their Blue laws during the twentieth century, causing some Adventists to wonder, Could it really happen? Have we been wrong? This presentation shows how current social and political developments in the United States are indeed leading toward the fulfillment of the prophecies outlined in Sunday laws--Part 1.
